Friday- My sister (aunt Jen) took Ava for the night, so Ian and I could actually have a night to ourselves. First stop- Kincaids Fish Chop and Steakhouse for dinner, and then onto the movies to see Slumdog Millionnaire. It was a great movie, although in some parts, a little difficult to watch. But definitely a must see.
Saturday- Ian and I took the dogs for a nice little walk down the canal. It was gorgeous outside and it felt so good to get out of the house. Then we went out to lunch before we headed over to my sister's house to pick up Ava. Of course Ava did not want to leave--but was so tired she didn't put up much of a fight, and slept all the way home.
Unfortunely, Ava didn't get in much of nap, as we had to wake her up in time to get her to Romp n' Roll to meet her friend Aidan. They offer a great program once a month on a Saturday night, where parents can drop their kids off from 5:30-8:00 pm for $25. The kids play on the mats, and paint/color, etc. While the parents can have a few hours to do whatever they want! And considering how expensive babysitters can be these days, $25 is a pretty good deal. Ian took Ava to Romp n' Roll and then met the Brittains at Nello's Pizza for dinner. While I met some of my girlfriends out for some drinks and dinner at The Vig.
Sunday: The Big Game! We wore our Cardinals shirts and hit two Super Bowl parties. Both were a lot of fun! Not the ending we were hoping for, but still a good time and we're proud of our team!
